Lost Pines

Last weekend Mom took Alyson and I to the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort in Bastrop.  Wade and Harper had a great time and we even got away for an hour long massage!  The place is super kid friendly and we're already planning our next year's trip.  THANK YOU MOM!

At home, when I put Harper to bed I just put her in the crib and shut the door.  Well, in a hotel room there's no door to shut so I improvised and stuck her pack in play in the closet!

Beach Baby

We took Harper for her first beach trip this past weekend.  It was a great time but Harper's cough and runny nose is back in action so she was not in the greatest mood.  She was throwing a fit when we tried to get her and Wade's pictures together in their matching outfits.  It was also our first time to stay in a hotel with Harper which was also interesting!

I did have a wonderful Mother's Day and received a beautiful bracelet from Scott and Harper. It was a great weekend!

 These kids are still infatuated with their Easter eggs.  It's the toy of choice around here!

 We have a full time walker nowadays.  She races to our stairs and can climb to the first landing within seconds.  We have to use the gate all the time now.  I can't keep up with this toot.  I told Scott the other day that it is easier controlling 43 3rd graders than it is my Harper Lynn :)

This year I was lucky enough to mentor a wonderful new teacher.  Mandy teaches 3rd grade with me and was chosen as "Rookie Teacher of the Year."  I was so proud of her and honored to be her mentor!  We were invited to a board meeting tonight.

After, we went to dinner and Harper wanted to run so Scott took her out while I waited on the check.  I came to the car and found Harper with several bows on her head.  He said she kept handing them to her and wanting him to put them in her hair.  She knows what's best for her :)

Sweet Cheeks!

This weekend went by too fast!  However, I only have 3 more Mondays of work before we're out for the summer!  I can't wait.  In July, I signed Harper and I up for a "Mommy and Me" swim class.  I would like to find a few more things for us to do as well.

Scott painted our laundry room, downstairs bath and game room this weekend.  Soon, I'll post some before and afters.  They look great! I feel like we're finally adding some personal touches to the house.

We ate at a little taco place on Friday and posed Harper for a few pictures.

I was at a GT Training all day Saturday so Gigi came to town and her and Harper went shopping.  Here are a few pictures she sent me throughout the day.  

We took Harper to Texas Roadhouse and she was in heaven!  She could throw her food on the floor and I didn't even tell her "no".  It's probably so confusing being a baby.

This morning Harper had her 1 Year Pictures and Miss Fussy Pants did not want to cooperate.  She was DRAMA.  Luckily, she was pretty content the first half in her birthday outfit but she would not participate in the other outfit.  Scott kept telling me it was because she was allergic to the outfit.  The outfit was a little "over the top" but I WILL get some pictures of her in it even if it's not with the photographer :)

After a good nap, we headed to Pappadauex for lunch!
