8 Weeks of Gunner Scott

Our little guy is 8 weeks! Even though some days feel like they'll never end when I'm home with the two kids, time is really flying by.

Gunner is a big guy and I'm anxious to see how much he weighs at our 2 month check up next week.

He is eating about 4 ounces of formula every two-three hours. After two very painful breast infections, feeling like death and lots of antibiotics I chose to switch to formula solely. Pumping with a newborn and 3 year old was not working for me and I truly look up to all you Mommy's who can do it.  You are my Heros!!

He is a very happy morning and evening baby and has really started to coo, smile and take in the world! He loves to snuggle and loves his Mommy.

I started putting him in his crib a couple weeks ago and we are still perfecting night time. He goes down around 9 or so and will sleep till 2 or 3. I feed him and he grunts and toots around for awhile and finally goes back to sleep and wakes again around 5. By this time he usually escapes his swaddle and has to be readjusted and will fall back to sleep until about 7. He is not the rockstar sleeper his sister was at this age but we will get there!! He is just a gassy little man :)

Harper Turns 3!

We had a very small family birthday party for Harper at the beginning of the month.  Her birthday is only 10 days after Gunner's so it was a bit challenging for me to get it all together but I think she had a wonderful birthday.  Can't believe my sweet, passionate, and determined little girl is 3!

Some of her favorites right now include play doh, crafts, she still loves bubbles, babies, princesses and to cut with her scissors.  Her favorite shows are Paw Patrol, Peppa the Pig, Bubble Guppies, and Scooby Do . She can belt out Let It Go uncontrollably and it amazes me how she can memorize every word to that song or not forget anything she hears EVER.  She also walks around the house singing "Nationwide is on your side" daily.  Recently she told us that she wants to be a cowgirl on the weekends and juggle corn dogs at the circus when she gets older. So random.

This summer she has swim lessons once a week and goes to princess dance camp on Wednesdays.  I was able to see her first little "dance" yesterday and she was just so proud (and clumsy too!).

Welcome Gunner Scott Friedrichs

Gunner Scott Friedrichs was born May 23rd at 12:47 pm weighing 8 pounds 3 ounces and measuring 19.5 inches long.  We were so very surprised to welcome our little boy into the world. It was such an exciting time and a memory I'll never forget.  Scott is over the moon and we are adjusting to life with two.  It is challenging and hectic at times but we are so blessed.  Harper is a little helper and so proud of her baby brother.

Gunner had his two week appointment last Friday and weighed in at 8 pounds 9 ounces.  He's a very sweet and snugly baby :)

Sweet Nursery and the 38th Week

This weekend we celebrated Mother's Day and it was wonderful.  Just missed seeing my mom but she'll be here soon once the baby makes his or her appearance.  This week will also be my last full week at work so I'm really looking forward to that.

I also finished the nursery.  It turned out so super sweet.  Thank you to my Mom and sister-in-law for helping me along the way.  I appreciate all your help.

Of course, the bows will stay or go depending on the gender of the baby :)
I'm adding a  monogrammed letter above the crib once the baby comes.

Pictures before church this morning.
